Game Rules
Artillery Duel is a turn-based physics artillery game. Players alternate turns, adjusting angle, power, and weapon to hit the enemy tank. Destructible terrain, 6 weapons, and adaptive AI create deep, replayable gameplay.
- On your turn, adjust Angle (5°-175°) and Power (20%-100%), select a weapon, then press FIRE. Wind affects projectile flight.
- Reduce enemy HP to 0 to win. The adaptive AI scales difficulty based on your performance.

How do I aim and fire?
Three ways: (1) Drag on the canvas Angry Birds-style—distance controls power, direction sets angle. (2) Use the Angle/Power sliders and press FIRE. (3) Press Space to fire instantly at current power.
What weapons are available?
10 weapons: standard, cluster, shotgun, homing, bunker-buster, nuke, napalm, EMP, laser, and baby. Each has unique blast radius, damage, and special effects like burning zones or EMP disabling.
How does the adaptive AI work?
AI level (1-3) dynamically adjusts based on your hit rate, damage per shot, and win streak. Win streaks raise the level; losing streaks lower it. Campaign mode uses fixed AI levels per level.
What is Stalemate Mode?
Triggered after a set number of rounds (default 15). All tanks lose HP each round and wind strengthens, forcing aggressive play to prevent stalemates.
How do I unlock the next level?
In Campaign mode, winning the current level unlocks the next (10 levels total). Progress saves to browser localStorage. Free mode is always available.
How do terrain themes affect gameplay?
Five themes (grassland, desert, snow, moon, volcano) change visuals AND physics. Moon has low gravity (higher, longer trajectories); volcano has high gravity (lower, shorter). Adjust power accordingly.
