About the Furry Test

The Furry Test (Am I a Furry Quiz) is a fun, educational self-assessment inspired by the popular Arealme quiz. It uses 20 questions to estimate how connected you feel to anthropomorphic animals and furry culture. Each question is scored from 0 to 5, for a total between 0 and 100, which places you in one of five levels ranging from deep identity with the fandom to no connection at all.

How Scoring Works

Every question has four options worth 0, 2, 3, or 5 points. Your total is the sum of all selected options, with a theoretical maximum of 100 (20 questions x 5 points). Based on your total, the result falls into one of five 20-point levels, each with its own label and description.

Traits Commonly Associated with Furry Fandom

The following are common traits or stereotypes associated with the furry fandom. Individual experiences vary greatly and do not represent every furry.

Positive traits

• Creativity - many people are drawn to the fandom because it emphasizes creative expression such as art, writing, or performance.
• Openness and inclusiveness - the fandom is often seen as a friendly, accepting community that values diversity.
• Playfulness - anthropomorphic animals often carry a playful, whimsical quality that appeals to people who enjoy lighthearted imagination.
• Empathy - some furries feel a strong connection with animals and nature, which translates into more empathy and care for others.
• Self-expression - creating a fursona and participating in the fandom is a way to express unique identity in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Negative stereotypes

• Oversexualization - a small number of individuals may engage in inappropriate or offensive sexual behavior that makes others uncomfortable.
• Social awkwardness - some people may have weaker social skills outside of furry contexts.
• Escapism - some may use the fandom to escape real-life problems or responsibilities.
• Obsession - some may become overly fixated on their fursona or the community, affecting daily life and relationships.
• Stigma - because of negative stereotypes and misunderstandings, some people may face discrimination or social isolation for their interest.
