What Is the Omegaverse? (A/B/O, Explained Simply)
Omegaverse — also called the A/B/O dynamic — is a fictional story world that grew out of fan fiction and internet culture. In this world, everyone has a second identity called a “Dynamic” alongside their usual gender. Your dynamic shapes your instincts, your role in the group, and how you relate to the people around you.
In this fantasy world, people communicate through scents, build cozy little “nests,” and naturally form packs. Over time, that small story device grew into a complete system — one that explores fun questions like “who's in charge,” “how do we care for each other,” and “how do we get along.”
This quiz looks at how you handle conflict, how you show kindness, and when you feel the urge to protect the people around you. From those small signals, it finds your one-of-a-kind A/B/O role.
The Three Core Roles: Alpha, Beta & Omega
To understand your result, you only need these three core roles. Even though everyone is unique, people in the A/B/O world mainly fall into three categories.
The Natural Leader
- Key Traits
- Decisive, protective of their people, goal-oriented, likes to take charge.
- Common Stereotype
- A company boss, a military officer — someone with a strong presence.
- The Real Deal
- Alphas aren't all tough and mean! Good Alphas use their strength to protect the people around them — like a Bodyguard Alpha who shields you, or a warm, loud Golden Retriever Alpha who loves you openly.
The Stabilizer of the Group
- Key Traits
- Calm, loyal, good at resolving conflicts, down-to-earth.
- Common Stereotype
- The main character's best friend, the peacemaker in the team.
- The Real Deal
- Betas are the backbone of the group. When Alphas fight and Omegas get upset, only Betas can calm things down — whether through logic (Fixer Beta) or pure good vibes (Bestie Beta).
The Gentle Sunshine
- Key Traits
- Caring, gentle, can read others' feelings, loves warm little spaces.
- Common Stereotype
- A poor little thing that needs protection.
- The Real Deal
- Omegas are the emotional heart of the group — and far stronger than the stereotype suggests. A Queen Bee Omega can silence a whole room with one frown, while a Nesting Omega turns any space into a sanctuary.
Why This Quiz Measures 12 Archetypes, Not 3
Most Omegaverse quizzes stop at “you're an Alpha/Beta/Omega.” But two Alphas can be totally different — one might be a soldier protecting everyone, the other a great cook who runs the household. How can they be the same type?
Our test scores you on two axes: your core dynamic (Alpha, Beta, or Omega) and your main trait (Control, Protect, Nurture, or Connect). Combined, they form 12 unique archetypes that capture how you love, protect, and connect.
Scent Codes in the A/B/O World
Scents are central to the Omegaverse — people can read your role and your mood without a single word. Here's the scent family your archetype belongs to:
Alpha scents: strong and reassuring, like nature itself — gunpowder, black coffee, rain on asphalt, or pine trees.
Beta scents: fresh and clean, super comforting — freshly laundered clothes, old books, or Earl Grey tea.
Omega scents: sweet and soft, like delicious treats — spiced honey, vanilla, peaches, or cream.
Find Your “Fated Mate”
In A/B/O stories, everyone has a “fated mate” — a destiny written into the setting that naturally draws two people together. Your result page shows your perfect match (high compatibility) and your arch-rival (conflict-prone pairing), so you can see who you'd click with instantly — and who would drive you crazy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have another question? Let us know.
Is the Omegaverse based on real wolf behavior?
No! The “Alpha/Beta wolf” theory was later disproved by the scientist who created it. The Omegaverse is a fictional setting used to tell stories about power, love, and gender roles — not a real biological system.
Is this a serious psychological test?
No. This is purely for entertainment — think of it like a horoscope or a Hogwarts sorting quiz. While it uses personality archetypes to make results feel relatable, it is not a clinical assessment or medical diagnosis.
Can a Beta mate with an Alpha?
Absolutely. While Alphas and Omegas are naturally drawn to each other in the lore, Beta-Alpha pairs are usually more stable because their bond is built on friendship and compatibility rather than pure instinct.
What if I don't fit the common Omegaverse stereotypes?
That's exactly why this test exists! You might be an Alpha who loves cooking (a House-Husband Alpha) or an Omega who loves giving orders (a Queen Bee Omega). The quiz finds the role that fits your real personality — not the stereotypes.
Can I retake the quiz if I don't like my result?
Of course! Your mood and how you answer can change, and so can your result. Feel free to retake it anytime to explore different archetypes.
How are the results calculated?
Every answer adds points to one or more of 7 dimensions: Alpha, Beta, and Omega (your dynamic), plus Control, Protect, Nurture, and Connect (your trait). Your result is your highest dynamic combined with your highest trait — producing one of 12 archetypes.
Can I share my result?
Yes! Use the share button after the test. Your scores are packed into the URL, so anyone who opens the link will see the exact same result.
