What is Number Solver?
Number Solver is a math puzzle game where you combine numbers using arithmetic operations to reach a target number. It offers three modes: Classic 24, Random Target, and Sum Sprint.
How do I play the Classic 24 mode?
You get 4 cards and must use all of them with +, −, ×, ÷ to reach 24. Click a card, select an operator, then click another card to combine them. Repeat until one card remains — if it equals 24, you win!
What is Sum Sprint mode?
Sum Sprint is a timed mode inspired by number-matching games. You get 6 cards and a random target (4-25). Click cards to add them up — reach the target to score points. You have 60 seconds to solve as many as possible!
Are all puzzles solvable?
Yes! Every puzzle in Classic and Random modes is verified by a solver algorithm to guarantee at least one valid solution exists before being presented.
Can I get a hint?
Yes, click the Hint button to reveal one possible solution. In Classic and Random modes, you'll see a full expression. In Sum Sprint, you'll see which cards to combine.
Can I undo a move?
In Classic and Random modes, yes — use the Undo button to revert your last operation. This is helpful when you want to explore different combinations.

How to Play
Number Solver is a math puzzle where you combine numbers using +, −, ×, ÷ to reach a target. In Classic mode the target is always 24. In Random Target mode the goal changes each round. In Sum Sprint mode, click numbers to add them up against the clock!
Game Rules
- Classic & Random modes: use all 4 cards with +, −, ×, ÷ to reach the target
- Click a card, then an operator, then another card to combine them
- Sum Sprint mode: click any subset of cards to sum to the target within 60 seconds
- Each puzzle is guaranteed to have at least one solution
Game Modes
- Classic 24: Fixed target of 24 with 4 cards (1-10). The timeless math puzzle!
- Random Target: A random target (10-40) with 4 cards (1-13). Adapt your strategy each round!
- Sum Sprint: Random target (4-25) with 6 cards. Click to sum — race against the 60s clock!
Pro Tips
- Try multiplication first — it often leads to the target faster
- Use undo to backtrack when a path doesn't work out
- In Sum Sprint, plan your subset before clicking to avoid penalties
Brain Benefits
Number Solver sharpens mental arithmetic, number sense, and strategic thinking. Regular play builds fluency with the four operations and trains your brain to spot numerical patterns quickly.
