Frequently Asked Questions

Have another question? Let us know.

How do I play Dice Wars?

Click on a territory you control, then click on an adjacent enemy territory to attack. Your dice (attacking) and their dice (defending) will be rolled. If your sum is strictly greater, you win and move all but one die to the new territory.

How do I get more dice?

At the end of your turn, you receive new dice based on the number of connected territories you control. The more territories you have in a single group, the more dice you get.

What happens when I conquer a territory?

When you conquer a territory, your attacking dice (minus one that stays behind) move into the captured land. You can then continue attacking from there if you wish.

Is there a limit to how many dice a territory can have?

Yes, a single territory can hold a maximum of 8 dice. Any extra dice you would receive for that territory are lost if it's already full.

Do I need to download anything to play?

No downloads are required! Dice Wars runs directly in your web browser. Simply visit the game page and start playing immediately.

About Dice Wars

Welcome to Dice Wars! Engage in this fast-paced turn-based strategy game where you must conquer all territories on the map. Roll the dice to attack your neighbors, build up your defenses, and dominate the board.

Dice Wars is a simplified strategy game similar to Risk. The goal is to conquer all territories on the map. Each territory has a number of dice representing its strength. You attack adjacent territories by rolling your dice against theirs. If your total is higher, you conquer the territory. At the end of your turn, you receive reinforcements based on the number of connected territories you control.

Dice Wars is a dice-driven territory game: attack adjacent regions with your stack, and the roll decides the battle. The recurring question is the heart of it — spread thin to gain income, or consolidate stacks to hold what you have?
