Bloxorz - Roll the Block
Navigate the block to the target hole in this classic spatial puzzle game
Frequently Asked Questions
Have another question? Let us know.
How do I control the block?
Use arrow keys (↑↓←→) or WASD. On mobile, use the on-screen D-pad buttons.
What are the different tile types?
F = Normal floor, S = Start, T = Target (goal), O = Void (fall if standing), A-Z = Soft switch (any touch triggers bridge), 0-9 = Hard switch (only standing triggers), a-z = Bridge (appears when switch activated).
Why did my block fall?
The block falls when either of its two support tiles is empty/void, OR when standing on a Void tile (O). Make sure both supporting positions have solid ground before moving!
What's the difference between soft and hard switches?
Soft switches (A-Z) trigger when ANY part of the block touches them. Hard switches (0-9) only trigger when the block is STANDING UPRIGHT on them. This adds strategic depth — sometimes you must stay lying down to avoid triggering something prematurely.
Can I undo a move?
Currently not supported, but you can press R at any time to restart the current level.
How many levels are there?
There are 33 levels total, ranging from simple tutorials to complex multi-switch challenges that require careful planning. Use the password system to skip ahead!

How to Play
Use arrow keys or WASD to roll the 2×1 block across the isometric tile grid. The block can stand upright (1×1 footprint) or lie down (2×1 footprint) depending on how it rolls.
Your goal: get the block standing upright on the golden target tile (T). Watch out for void tiles (O) — standing on them makes the block fall! Use switches (A-Z, 0-9) to activate bridges and open new paths.
Psychology Behind the Game
Spatial Visualization & Mental Rotation
Bloxorz trains your brain to mentally rotate 3D objects and plan multi-step paths in isometric space. Research shows that spatial reasoning puzzles like this strengthen the parietal lobe networks used in mathematics, engineering, and navigation. The need to track both position AND orientation simultaneously exercises working memory and cognitive flexibility.
