Have another question? Let us know.
What makes Baker's Game harder than FreeCell?
In Baker's Game, you must build tableau columns by same suit (7♠ on 8♠). In FreeCell, you can use alternating colors (7♥ on 8♠). This restriction significantly reduces your options.
Can Kings go into empty columns?
Yes! Unlike some variants, any single card or valid sequence can be placed into an empty tableau column.
Is this game winnable?
Most Baker's Game deals are winnable with perfect play, but it requires careful planning due to the strict same-suit rule.

How to Play
Baker's Game is a challenging variant of FreeCell invented by C.L. Baker. The key difference: you must build tableau columns down by same suit instead of alternating colors. Rules: • All 52 cards are dealt face-up into 8 columns • Tableau: Build down by same suit (e.g., 7♠ on 8♠) • Foundations: Build up by suit from Ace to King • Any card or sequence can go into an empty column • Use 4 free cells for temporary storage • Double-click to auto-move to foundation Strategy: Same-suit building is much more restrictive than FreeCell's alternating colors. Plan your moves carefully — you can't just stack any opposite-color card. Focus on exposing Aces early and creating empty columns.
