Psychology Resources
Everything here is meant to be used rather than read: phone numbers to call, groups to join, and
software steps to follow. It is the practical counterpart to the theory sections of this site, which
is why the pages sit together even though they come from different fields.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.
The pages below are directories and self-help guides. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan,
or a substitute for a licensed professional.
Getting help
| Page | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Get Help Now | Crisis and suicide-prevention helplines organised by country, plus text and chat services. The largest reference here. |
| Finding & Joining a Support Group | What support groups actually do, the different types, benefits and limits, and how to pick one that fits. |
| How to Join a Support Group | The practical follow-through: making first contact, what a first meeting is like, and what to do if the group is wrong. |
Support groups sit alongside professional care rather than replacing it. For what formal treatment
involves, see clinical psychology and the
conditions reference.
Research tools
Analysis steps written out for students who have to produce a result, not just understand a concept.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| SPSS Fundamentals | Getting oriented in SPSS: data entry, variable setup, and the operations most coursework requires. |
| Boxplot (Box-and-Whisker Plot) | Reading and building boxplots — quartiles, whiskers, outliers, and how to describe one in a paper without overclaiming. |
Before you run the analysis, it is worth being sure the design supports it:
experimental design,
statistical inference and
data visualization cover the decisions that determine whether
your numbers mean anything.
