Odd One Out Challenge
Spot the symbol that breaks the hidden rule among nine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Have another question? Let us know.
What does the hidden rule mean?
Eight of the nine symbols share one property — the same shape, the same fill, the same rotation, or the same color. The remaining symbol breaks exactly that property.
How is my score calculated?
You get one point for each correct answer. Wrong answers are penalized by one third of a point to discourage guessing, matching the formula scoring used in many aptitude tests.
Are the questions the same every time?
No. Every attempt generates a fresh grid from four rule families, so you can practice as many times as you like without memorizing answers.
What happens if the 5-minute timer runs out?
Your test is submitted automatically and your results are calculated from the questions you answered, just like a timed screening test.
