About This Test
EMBU (Egna Minnen Beträffande Uppfostran, Memories of Parental Rearing) is a standardized measurement tool developed by Swedish psychologist Perris et al. in 1980 to assess individuals' subjective perceptions of parental rearing styles. The Chinese version was revised by Yue Dongmei et al. and has good reliability and validity.
How It Works
This questionnaire contains 66 items measuring 6 dimensions: Emotional Warmth/Understanding, Punishment/Severity, Over-interference, Favoritism, Rejection/Denial, and Overprotection. You need to evaluate your father's and mother's rearing styles separately.
Dimensions Measured
The six dimensions reflect different aspects of parental rearing styles. Combining these dimensions provides a comprehensive understanding of parental rearing patterns.
