What is Dyspraxia?

Dyspraxia, also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), is a condition affecting physical coordination. It causes difficulties with movement, coordination, and fine motor skills that are not explained by general intellectual impairment.

Dyspraxia is not related to intelligence - many people with dyspraxia are highly intelligent and creative. It is a neurological difference that affects how the brain plans and coordinates physical movements.

About This Screening

This screening covers key areas often affected by dyspraxia including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, balance and coordination, and organizational abilities.

This screening test is for educational and self-reflection purposes only. It is not a diagnostic tool. A formal diagnosis of dyspraxia requires comprehensive assessment by a qualified occupational therapist or specialist. If you have concerns about your motor coordination, please consult a healthcare professional.
