Yes — every card is drawn uniformly at random in your browser (13 ranks from 2 to Ace, with the suit drawn independently). Note that it is not a finite 52-card deck: cards can repeat, so three Kings in a row are entirely possible.

A tie counts as correct — your streak continues and you score a point. That makes the game slightly more forgiving than casino versions, where a push is usually a neutral outcome.

Guess toward whichever side has more ranks: always say higher on a 2 through 7 and lower on a 9 through Ace. On an 8 the odds are symmetric — six ranks each way plus the tie — so it is a genuine coin flip.

Score, streak and best are kept in memory for the current session only; refreshing the page starts a clean slate, and nothing is uploaded or stored. Keep the tab open while you are chasing a personal record.
