How accurate is the countdown timer?
It reads the system clock: the countdown is computed against a target timestamp, so the display and the alert stay in step with real time even over long counts. Heavily throttled background tabs can still delay the alert briefly after time is up — keep the tab visible when the timing matters.
What happens when I pause and then resume?
Pausing freezes the remaining time exactly where it is, and resume continues from there — it never restarts. Reset loads your originally set duration again. The time inputs and preset buttons are locked while a countdown is running.
What does the Loop option do?
With loop enabled, the timer beeps when it reaches zero, waits about two seconds, and automatically starts the same duration again, repeating until you stop it. It is handy for rotating tasks, breathing exercises, or circuit-style routines with equal intervals.
Will the alarm sound play, and where is my data kept?
The alarm is a short three-beep sequence synthesized in your browser with the Web Audio API; it plays as long as you have interacted with the page (pressing Start is enough) and the tab is still open. Everything runs locally — nothing you set here is uploaded anywhere.
